Welcome to Mrs. Paulsen's 3rd grade!

By Jacey Stratton

Mrs. Paulsen’s third grade class at Woodbury Central recently wrote Wildcat acrostic poems to show their Wildcat pride. “We love to show our Wildcat spirit,” Mrs. Paulsen said about her 22 students who completed this project in two 45-minute class periods.

As the students wrote their poems, they developed their spelling, vocabulary, and sentence structure skills while also discussing of ways to be a better citizen and student.  “My favorite part was the writing, because I like to write,” explained Ava Paulsen, just one of the many students who took part in this project. This project is part of the school’s curriculum: to teach grammar, writing, spelling and reading.
