CHOIR KCAU RECORDING
This holiday season, KCAU 9 will be once again airing their holiday show called “Sounds of the Holidays.” They invited a number of local high schools’ chorale groups from their viewing area, to go and have two of their holiday songs recorded. KCAU 9 will then take these recordings and create a short TV show that will air numerous times during the holiday season.
The schools featured this year are: Bishop-Heelan High School, Dakota Valley High School, Woodbury Central High School, Siouxland Christian High School and Elk Point-Jefferson High School.
This is the second year Woodbury Central High School was invited to record their songs; the school got invited by a letter they received at the beginning of September. The Woodbury Central High school recorded their songs at the Bishop Heelan multimedia room this past week.
The songs they recorded were No Room, No Room and There’s Still My Joy. They have been preparing these holiday songs since September
The teacher in charge of this holiday tradition is the choir teacher, Ms.Rollison. She comments, “it’s a good opportunity for the kids to perform for a bigger audience and there is more exposure of their talent.”
