Mr. Buckley is the art teacher at Woodbury Central. He has been working at Woodbury Central for 11 years now. He taught one year at Lincoln Southwest High school before he came to Woodbury Central. One of the after school activities he does is Art Club. They meet almost every Monday from 3:35 to 4:45. In Art Club right now they are currently working on a large group project to make a shark shaped photo booth for Mrs. Parks. Last year they drew with pastels, painted with watercolors, sketched with sharpies, made mat board collages, and did various other art projects. He always takes a group of students to the conference art show in March. While the conference is not, specifically, an art club event, he tries to select art club members to attend. He says, “It’s a nice opportunity to meet and discuss art with other high school artists and see the artwork others are creating.” Some other favorite past times he enjoys are spending time with his five year old daughter. He also plays the drums with a couple of bands and loves going to some good concerts and enjoys reading when he has the time.
