WRESTLING:

CONFERENCE CHAMPS!!!

Four the fourth straight year – the Wildcats are your Western Valley Conference Tournament Champions!

Great day up and down the lineup.

Ryder Koele (2X), Beau Klingensmith (4X), Bracket Locke (2X) and Max McGill all claimed Individual titles Saturday.

Gunnar Vohs, Trevor Davis, and Ty Dennison (2X Champ) – all made the finals as well.

Brand Beaver and Warren Smith finished 3rd

Kyan Schultzen and Andrew Martens finished 4th

John Groetken and the Sanford Brothers finished 5th

A lot of heart Saturday as a couple guys battled through injuries to score big team points, and we say some guys close the gap and even overturn previous matchups.

Everyone – going to Logan Tomorrow – leaving at 2:30. Blue Singlets

WINTER SPORTS COVID INFORMATION:

Basketball:

Rules for basketball game attendance shift starting Monday. The WVC is moving to 50 percent capacity. Each district will vary as to who makes up the 50 percent. This means that each venue will vary, and rules for the visiting team will be different for the home team. Because of this, please be careful how you share this information in order to avoid confusion between home and visiting spectators. Thank you for your cooperation with this.

1/18 at home v Gehlen: Home rules: Household plus grandparents (all of these names must be on the list) plus two tickets plus an open, roped off student section. Masks required. Please adhere to social distancing rules. Reminder that this is a JVR B and V B/G contest. JV G spectators are not admitted on households as they do not play. Streaming: nfhsnetwork.com

1/19 at West Monona: Visitor rules: Household plus grandparents (all of these names must be on the list). Masks required. Please adhere to social distancing rules. Streaming nfhsnetwork.com

1/22 at home v Ridge View: Home rules: Household plus grandparents (all of these names must be on the list) plus two tickets plus an open, roped off student section. Masks required. Please adhere to social distancing rules. Streaming: nfhsnetwork.com

1/19 at Logan: You must have a Logan ticket in addition to paying the admission fee.Households are also able to attend and those people do NOT have to have a ticket. In other words, it is household plus two tickets. Household names will be checked off the household roster at the gate. Tickets have the coach's, wrestler's, or cheerleader's name on them. Those names will be checked off the roster at the gate when the ticket is submitted. They check these off so no wrestler will have more than two tickets (outside household) come through the door in addition to household. Tickets will be checked off on the roster at the door. Masks required.
