COVID-19 Updates

MESSAGE FROM SUPERINTENDENT DOUG GLACKIN
MONDAY, MARCH 16TH, 2020
-- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE --

The Woodbury Central School will follow the recommendation of Governor Reynolds and close our buildings through April 12th, 2020. We will close all facilities, including the fitness center, and suspend all activities, including Prom, through April 12th. All key fobs for the fitness center will be suspended and adjustments to the expiration dates will be made.

We are currently working on a plan to provide lunch and possibly breakfast for those who are in need. We hope to begin this by Thursday, March 19th. If you would like to supply lunch and/or breakfast for your child, please email Mr. Glackin at dglackin@wcwildcats.org. Please include the following in your email:

- Student name(s)
- Best time for pick up*
- Breakfast, lunch, or both

A Department of Education ruling prohibits counting virtual schooling as a student contact day. This was in response to schools that attempted to utilize their one to one initiative on snow days. Thus, unless this ruling is reversed, virtual learning is not an option. We will forward further guidance on mark-up days when it becomes available.

If you have questions concerning our plans, suggestions on how the school can support students and families during this time, or need to access something your child left in the building, please email Mr. Glackin at dglackin@wcwildcats.org.

*We may be able to coordinate delivery, but there are no guarantees. If you absolutely cannot pick up, please put this in your email as well
